Periodic inspection of installations in shops, offices, industrial units and blocks of flats. Preventing a breakdown costs considerably less than repairing one with the shutters down.
An electrical installation degrades even if nobody touches it: terminals work loose with heat cycling, dust builds up in the board, residual current devices lose sensitivity, and cabling in damp areas deteriorates.
The difference between checking it every six months and never checking it is the difference between replacing a terminal for twenty euros and losing power on a Friday afternoon with the place full.
We work both with residents’ committees and with managing agents, and we always invoice with all the details the building needs for its accounts.
In a business the installation has to cope with hours of continuous operation and machinery start-ups. We inspect the board visually for heat damage, tighten connections, test the protective devices and record in writing the state of the installation and what should be put right.
If your activity is subject to periodic inspection by an authorised control body, we prepare the installation beforehand so the inspection does not come back negative.
Tell us what you need and we will quote with no obligation. If it is urgent, calling is quickest.
In detail
A document setting out what was checked, what is sound and what should be corrected, in order of priority.
Tightening terminals, cleaning, and spotting hot points before they cause a failure.
Actual tripping of residual current devices to confirm they operate within the required time.
Checking the run time and replacing units that no longer hold a charge.
Periodic verification of the earthing, which degrades over time and with dry ground.
Maintenance clients go to the front of the queue when they ring with a fault.
We do not sell one closed contract for everyone. For a block of twelve flats with low consumption an annual inspection may be enough; for a bakery or a workshop with machinery it makes sense to come every three or six months.
We come out, look at the installation, and propose a frequency and a price in keeping with what is there. No tie-ins.
Common questions
It depends on the use. In a residential block with the installation in good order, once a year is usually enough. In catering premises, a workshop or an industrial unit with machinery, every three to six months is sensible because the wear is far greater.
Not for private homes. It is compulsory for premises open to the public, garages above a certain size, high-power installations and other cases set out in the regulation, which must be inspected by an authorised control body every five years. We tell you whether your case is covered.
Yes, it is a significant part of our work. We deal directly with the management company, present quotes in the format they need to take to the residents’ meeting, and invoice in the name of the building.
We tell you there and then, not in a report a week later. If there is immediate risk, we safely isolate the affected part and give you a price for the repair the same day.
